Craters with “sandbars”

Citation Robbins, S.J., and B.M. Hynek (2012). A New Global Database of Mars Impact Craters ≥1 km: 1. Database Creation, Properties, and Parameters. Journal of Geophysical Research – Planets, 117, E05004. doi: 10.1029/2011JE003966.

NOTE This is a small subset of the original Robbins and Hynek crater catalog, containing information on the location of craters with “sandbars”, lee side, streamlined deposits, formed by erosion or deposition during flood events

Original definition: “… even if there is no ejecta but the crater is at the head of what on Earth would be considered a sandbar, the term “Sandbar” is placed in this column of morphology”.
